Welcome to the Industry Exchange Network.

who we are
The Industry Exchange Network (IXN) was created at UCL by Dr Dean Mohamedally & Dr Graham Roberts (UCL Computer Science), and Geoff Hughes (Microsoft UK) in 2011, as an educational methodology enabling students to enhance their degree training in a wide variety of real-world problem-solving projects as part of their courses. We work with charities, healthcare, researchers, SMEs, public sector/government and large firms.

what we do
IXN enables students to engage in real-world problem based learning through term-based client projects. This initial partnership with Microsoft allowed the UCL IXN to match UCL students to industry projects hosted by Microsoft’s client base. Now IXN serves as a pipeline matching industry projects of different levels with students ranging from B.Sc 1st year students working on Apps Design through to M.Sc level working on more advanced Data Science projects.
Teams work collaboratively with their clients from design right through implementation, so that each project suits the needs of each client.
All projects are custom coded, ensuring that each one is one-of-a-kind and is exactly to the client's specification.
We develop mobile apps and responsive web based apps that look great across all devices, browsers and screens.
